One night Bear looked up at the sky and thought, wouldn't it be nice to give the moon a birthday present.
有一個晚上，熊邊抬頭望天空和月亮邊想著，難道送個生日禮物給月亮不是很好嗎。

But Bear didn't know when the moon's birthday was, or what to get him. So he climbed a tall tree to have a little chat with the moon.
但是熊不知道月亮的生日是什么時候，也不知道送什么給他。所以熊爬到一顆高的樹上去，和月亮小聊一下。
"Hello, Moon!" he shouted.
“你好，月亮！” 他大喊。
But the moon did not reply.?Maybe I am too far away, thought Bear, and the moon cannot hear me.
但是月亮沒有回答。熊想也許是我離得太遠了，月亮聽不到我的聲音。

So Bear paddled across the river...
所以熊撐船過河...

into the mountains.
到達山上。

Now I am much closer to the moon, thought Bear, and again he shouted:"Hello!"?This time his own voice echoed off one of the other mountains:"Hello!"
熊想，現(xiàn)在我離月亮很近，然后他再大喊了聲：“你好！” 這次，他自己的聲音從其他山傳來了回音。
Bear got very excited.?Oh, boy! he thought. I'm talking to the moon.
熊非常興奮。哦哇！他想。我在和月亮對話。
"Tell me," asked Bear, "When is your birthday?"
“告訴我，”熊問，“你的生日是什么時候？”
"Tell me, when is your birthday?" replied the moon.
“告訴我，你的生日是什么時候？”月亮回答。

“Well, it just so happens that my birthday is tomorrow!" said Bear.?"Well, it just so happens that my birthday is tomorrow!" said the moon.
“嗯，剛好明天是我的生日！”熊說?！班?，剛好明天是我的生日！”
"What do you want for your birthday?" asked Bear. "What do you want for your birthday?" asked the moon.
“你想要什么生日禮物？”熊問?！澳阆胍裁瓷斩Y物？”月亮問。
Bear thought for a moment, then he replied: "I would like a hat." "I would like a hat." said the moon.
熊想了一會，然后他回答：“我想要一頂帽子?！?“我想要一頂帽子?！痹铝琳f。
Oh, goody! Thought Bear, now I know what to get the moon for his birthday.?
太好了！熊想，我現(xiàn)在知道拿什么給月亮當生日禮物了。

"Goodbye," said Bear. "Goodbye," said the moon.
“再見，”熊說?！霸僖姡痹铝琳f。

When Bear got home, he dumped all the money out of his piggy bank.
熊回到家的時候，他倒出他的錢罐里面所有的錢。

Then he went downtown...
然后他去商業(yè)區(qū)...

and bought the moon a beautiful hat.
然后買下一頂漂亮的帽子給月亮。

The night he put the hat up in a tree where the moon could find it. Then he waited and watched while the moon slowly crept...
晚上，他把帽子放到月亮能找到的一顆樹上。然后他在月亮慢慢移動的時候等著看。

... up through the branches and tried on the hat.
...越過樹枝升上去，試帶帽子。
"Hurray!" yelled Bear. "It fits just right!"
“萬歲!"熊大叫?！懊弊雍芎线m！”

During the night while Bear slept, the hat fell out of the tree. In the morning Bear found the hat on his doorstep.?"So the moon got me a hat, too" exclaimed Bear.?He tried it on and it fit perfectly.
在熊睡覺的晚上，帽子從樹上掉下來了。早上，熊發(fā)現(xiàn)了在他門階的帽子?！八栽铝烈菜臀乙豁斆弊印毙荏@叫。他試了下帽子，帽子非常適合。

But just then, the wind blew Bear's hat off his head.
但是就在那時，風把熊頭上的帽子吹走了。

He chased after it... but it got away.
熊追帽子...但是帽子離開了。

That night Bear paddled across the river...

For a long time the moon would not speak to him, so Bear spoke first.
月亮有一段時間沒和熊說話，所以熊先說話了。
"Hello!" he shouted. "Hello!" replied the moon.
“你好！”他大喊?！澳愫?！”月亮回答。
"I lost the beautiful hat you gave me," said Bear. "I lost the beautiful hat you gave me," said the moon.
“我丟了你送給我的漂亮帽子，”熊說?！拔襾G了你送給我的漂亮帽子，”月亮說。
"That's okay, I still love you!" said Bear. "That's okay, I still love you!" said the moon.
“沒關系，我依然愛你！”熊說?！皼]關系，我依然愛你！”月亮說。

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" said Bear. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" said the moon.
“生日快樂！”熊說?！吧湛鞓?！”月亮說。
