Student: I think he lives in our bathroom.

Teacher: You missed school yesterday, didn't you?

Student: Not very much!

*這則就不翻譯啦，翻譯出來(lái)的話(huà)說(shuō)不通。miss既有“錯(cuò)過(guò)”的意思，也有“想念”的意思。老師問(wèn)的是“你昨天沒(méi)來(lái)學(xué)校不是嗎？”，而學(xué)生理解成了“你昨天很想念學(xué)校不是嗎？”，因此回答“不太想！”

Tom: Great news, teacher says we have a test today come rain or shine.

湯姆：好消息，老師說(shuō)今天不管下雨還是天晴我們都要考試。

John: So what's great about that?

約翰：那有什么好高興的？

Tom: It's snowing outside!

湯姆：因?yàn)楝F(xiàn)在外面在下雪！

*come rain or shine是指“不管發(fā)生什么情況”，相當(dāng)于我們所說(shuō)的“風(fēng)雨無(wú)阻”。而湯姆以為是指下雨和天晴兩種情況下需要考試。

Teacher: How can you make so many mistakes in just one day?

老師：為什么你一天里能犯那么多錯(cuò)！

Pupil: I get up early!

學(xué)生：誰(shuí)讓我起得早呢！
