Tracy: Hello, can I speak to Alex.
Alex: This is Alex, who is speaking?

Alex: Hi Tracy. What are you doing?
Tracy:嗨,我是Tracy。
Alex:嗨,Tracy。你在干嘛?
Tracy: Oh, I'm just watching TV. What are you doing?
Alex: Well, I'm cooking dinner.
Tracy:哦,我在看電視,你在做什么?
Alex:嗯,我在燒飯。
Tracy: What are you cooking?
Alex: I'm baking some potatoes, boiling some carrots and grilling a steak.
Tracy:你在做什么?

Tracy: It sounds delicious.
Alex: What are you doing for dinner tonight?

Tracy: Oh, I'd love to. Thanks.
Alex: Great. Mary and Jack are also coming. They are arriving at seven.
Tracy:哦,我很愿意,謝謝。
Alex:太好了,Mary 和 Jack 也會來的。他們會在七點來。
Tracy: OK, I'll be there at seven, too.
Alex: OK, see you then. Bye.
Tracy: Bye.

關于現(xiàn)在進行時要注意的兩個問題:
* 現(xiàn)在進行時只和表示動作行為的動詞搭配。初學英語的朋友可以理解成需要有個動作的動詞,比如跑跑跳跳之類的。但是“相信”、“喜歡”這類的詞是不和現(xiàn)在進行時搭配的。這一點其實在漢語里也很好理解。比如我們可以說 : I am working at the moment. (我這會正在工作。)但是不能說 I'm believing you. (我正在相信你。)
* 現(xiàn)在進行時也可以表示一段時間內進行的事情,比如:? I'm reading 'Just in Time' this week. (我這個星期在讀《準時生產》這本書。)我并不是在說話的這一刻在讀這本書,而是在這段時間內在讀。
