Since the introduction of the novels to China, Harry Potter has accompanied almost a generation of young Chinese.

Although the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2 starts at midnight, hundreds of Harry fans are eagerly waiting at a cinema in west Beijing. Mr. Fang is one of them.

"I am here only for Harry Potter. And I bought my ticket last Friday. Although the premiere is late at night, I don't mind and I asked for a day off work tomorrow just so I could come and watch the movie. I've watched all the Harry Potter movies, and I like them very much. As this is the finale of Harry series, I think I will miss Harry."

To the uninitiated, Harry Potter may just be a story about a charming boy wizard, but for the young people who grew up with Harry Potter, the character has been a faithful companion.

Mr. Fang says it's already ten years since he watched the first Harry movie. And he remembers that he was in high school at that time.

"You could say that I've grown up with Harry. I really hope that there will be someprequels about Harry Porter or something in the future. And I will keep following it."

Michael, another audience member waiting in the cinema, comes from Los Angeles, California. Now he is working in Beijing. He says he is also a fan of Harry Potter, and he had already read the books of Harry Potter when he was still a kid.

"I think the most interesting part of that is we get a tale where people actually die, you know we will get kind of realistic, kind of fairytales that are more fitting for our times, you know, presents some kind of vision of the world that is closer to reality, kind of making fantasy, a little bit more realistic."

However, when being asked if he also expected more Harry Potter movie in the future, he said No.

"I think Harry Potter is done, I think that it should be done, so they can leave us the legend, too many times if you take a movie passes like the Transformers, each consecutive transformers movie in terms of plot got worse and worse, because they are just thinking about how they make it look, they won't think about what the story is about anymore."

Since the first novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was released in 1997, the Harry Potter stories have gained immense popularity, critical acclaim an commercial success worldwide. So far, the book series has been translated into more than 60 languages.

Needless to say, the tickets for Harry's finale are in great demand. At Wanda cinema in West Beijing, the premiere tickets for the IMAX theatre, priced at 130 yuan or about 20 US dollars, sold out fast.
