This term "nao can ti", meaning literally "brain-impaired writing style", is the Chinese answer to "leetspeak" in English. It's a language used by some netizens who mix traditional and simplified Chinese characters with symbols, numbers and alphabets. It is so hard to read that it looks like the writing of a mentally impaired person.

“腦殘體”從字面上來講就是指“大腦不健全人的書寫風(fēng)格”，在英文中對應(yīng)的說法為leetspeak。這種語言風(fēng)格多用于網(wǎng)絡(luò)，使用者通常將繁體漢字、簡體漢字、各種符號、數(shù)字以及英文字母混雜在一起來表達(dá)自己的意思。因為這種方式寫出的句子很難讀懂，所以看上去就像是大腦發(fā)育不健全的人寫的東西一樣。
