The teacher who tackled a gunman at Colorado middle school is lamenting that he didn’t act soon enough. Two people were shot and injured in the incident. Bond for the suspect has been set at $1 million.

The Senate has passed the $35 billion jobs bill it hopes will get the economy on track. The bipartisan measure gives businesses tax cuts and thousand dollar credit when they hire the unemployed.

A snowboarder is lucky to be alive after he was caught in an avalanche. The man was able to recall his ordeal as he snowboarded and slid through at all. He also says the snow itself push him away from the rocks.
