Google近日為Android手機(jī)帶來一款手機(jī)搜索購物軟件Google Shopper,讓手機(jī)用戶可以方便的上網(wǎng)搜索相應(yīng)的商品信息并查詢價(jià)格。?

Google has a shopping utility called Google Shopper that combines a number of convenient features in one clean little mobile app. It's currently only for Android phones, and something of an experiment - available under Google's Mobile Labs area - though it certainly works as well as a finished app.

Shopping with your phone is nothing new. As soon browsers arrived on our smart phones, we immediately began searching for products we saw in-store, hoping to find better prices.

Over the years, these apps have gotten more sophisticated. 3D bar code readers use your phone's camera to literally scan bar codes and search for products. There have also been products that let you photograph products and search for matching objects online. There's even voice search. All of these are in Google Shopper.

We downloaded Google Shopper to our Droid Eris, where Google Shopper's clean, three-option search screen leaves little to the imagination. There's a big Image search button, for taking photos and bar code scanning, Voice Search to launch, you guessed it, voice search, and a text-search box. Below that are three software button:, Search (to get you back to the main page) History (what you've looked for today and earlier) and Starred (anything you've starred in your search results.

I went hunting for products to search. Where I found a bar code, I simply pointed the phone's camera at it, held still for a moment and Google Shop automatically scanned it and found the exact right results. Where no bar code was present, I held the product box in front of the camera and it again recognized it and found the correct match. Voice search went smoothly, too. Searching for a five-word, multisyllabic product name presented no problems for Google Shop. Image and bar-code scanning does appear to benefit from decent lighting and images and bar codes not being held at off angles.

Results include product photo (where available), name, prices, rating and access to expert and user reviews. In all cases the results came quickly and were easy to peruse. Google Shopper doesn't handle actual products. So trying to "scan" your friend's phone or digital camera won't work. CD covers, and books, DVDs and video games are easy, however.
