梅麗爾·斯特里普 Meryl Streep 介紹：

梅麗爾·斯特里普生于新澤西州蘇密特，被譽為"80年代最佳女演員"，不論舞臺或銀幕上的表演，總令人印象深刻。她在12歲已開始學習歌劇，中學時初展演戲天份，借著獎學金拿到耶魯大學戲劇學院碩士學位，其後在耶魯劇場演了三年戲。遷居紐約後，開始參加百老匯舞臺劇演出，曾獲得東尼獎提名。她在1977年的電影處女作《茱莉亞》已令人眼前一亮，其后自《獵鹿人》獲奧斯卡女配角提名開始，她便和"獎"結下不解之緣，《克萊默夫婦》獲奧斯卡女配角獎后，1983年又以《蘇菲的選擇》奪得后冠，其它獎項及提名更是不計其數(shù)，90年代以《廊橋遺夢》最為膾炙人口，新世紀后再創(chuàng)事業(yè)高峰，好萊塢叱咤風云三十余年，她被影評人譽為"一代只出一個"的世界影壇常青樹。

從影三十載，斯特里普15次獲得奧斯卡獎提名(其中12次最佳女主角提名，3次最佳女配角提名)，是電影史上獲得該獎提名最多的演員，兩度獲得奧斯卡獎--最佳女配角獎和最佳女主角獎。除此之外，斯特里普于1998年獲得好萊塢星光大道之星的榮譽，并被授予2003年法國凱撒電影榮譽獎以及2004年美國電影協(xié)會（AFI）終身成就獎。

It means a great deal to have the approbation of the people in my community, my film community. It's a little family. I don't live in the glare of the spotlight. I come from a little outside life and come into this room where everyone that I ever worked with is people I love, people I would live to work with, people I admire, people whose work I followed forever. And It's like a little homecoming. It's sort of great to be able to come to these award shows and that means a lot to me.

The award itself is from the Hollywood Foreign Press, who have seen me for 30 years in movies, and they're still not sick of me. That means something to me, it really does, because it's hard to remain new. And, so, I'm very proud to get the award, especially for this movie, 'cause I love this movie. And I loved the script. I think it's a good signal to the business, to the financial end in our business. On the page, seemed like "a middle-aged woman is cooking". It's just seem so boring, and yet it has its audience, it was a big hit, and that's good news.
