U.N. officials say more than 73,000 people in Haiti had received food last week but many more still wait. Some desperate crowds turned looting to get what they need. Six days after the earthquake Haitian authorities say they have recovered 70,000 bodies.

Bill Clinton is in Haiti with his daughter Chelsea. Clinton who serves as the U.N.’s special envoy for the country, has gone in forces with George W. Bush to raise money for recovery efforts.

President Barack Obama paid tribute to civil right leader Martin Luther King Jr. Monday by serving hot lunches to the needy. He and First Lady Michelle Obama also visited workers at the American Red Cross headquarters, thanking them for their efforts following earthquake in Haiti.

Massachusetts voters head to the polls Tuesday for a special election to replace the late Senator Ted Kennedy. In the final hours of the race, Democrat Martha Coakley rolled out a new TV ad featuring President Obama. Republicans are hoping oppositions to the health care bill will help send their candidate Scott Brown to Washington.
