2 對全球性語言的討論:

這是一個(gè)現(xiàn)在普遍討論的話題,在經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化的影響下,語言是否需要全球化?使用全球性語言是否又會(huì)推進(jìn)經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化?此重任又應(yīng)當(dāng)由何種語言來擔(dān)當(dāng)?在雅思寫作考試中也有類似的考題,所以深度可想而知。考生不妨把兩門考試結(jié)合起來準(zhǔn)備,但注意口語和書面語稍加區(qū)別即可。

① Do you think it's important (or, a good idea) to have one main world language? (= “a universal language”)

② What would be the advantages and disadvantages of having a global language?

③ Which language could become global language?

④ Is that useful for future globalization?

⑤ Is that important to business?

3 語言學(xué)習(xí)能力的比較:

這是現(xiàn)在第三部分題目較常出現(xiàn)的一種提問方式,在語言類話題中尤其對語言學(xué)習(xí)能力及學(xué)習(xí)方法的差異提問較多,其中不同年齡、不同性別及不同天分的人之間的比較都有。所謂沒有比較就沒有結(jié)果,對比較類的提問方式考生應(yīng)試著分別從比較的兩個(gè)對象入手分析,回答就會(huì)更豐富一些。

① Why do you think some people are better than others at learning a foreign language?

② Who do you think is better at learning a language, boys or girls?

③ Are there any differences between the way the young and the elderly learn a language?

④ Why is it easy for some to learn a foreign language whereas hard for others?

⑤ Why some children learn language faster than others?

4 語言與教育的結(jié)合:

因?yàn)樯婕敖逃姆矫?,所以這里的語言教育基本限定在英語,多數(shù)也用比較的方式來提問,例如在教授英文時(shí)外教與中教的區(qū)別,父母與學(xué)校所肩負(fù)的幼教英語的責(zé)任孰輕孰重等等?;卮鸬那腥朦c(diǎn)同上。

5 語言與文化的結(jié)合:

語言本身就是文化的一部分,所以把語言結(jié)合文化來提問也是十分自然的。下面兩個(gè)問題仍然是簡單的”yes or no”問題,但回答的關(guān)鍵在于如何用較淺顯易懂的例子將抽象的文化與語言的關(guān)系具體化。

① Do you think it's possible to learn a foreign culture without learning the language?

② Will the learning of a new language change your understanding of local culture?

最后,在充分了解語言話題內(nèi)容的前提下,結(jié)合自身的英語學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗(yàn),以此為基礎(chǔ)對其它特點(diǎn)考題做好充分準(zhǔn)備就能以不便應(yīng)萬變,從容應(yīng)考。
