"Unfriend" has been named the word of the year by the New Oxford American Dictionary, chosen from a list of finalists with a tech-savvy bent.
日前,unfriend一詞從眾多技術(shù)詞匯中脫穎而出,被《新牛津美語(yǔ)辭典》評(píng)為2009年度潮詞。

Unfriend was defined as a verb that means to remove someone as a "friend" on a social networking side such as Facebook.
Unfriend被定義為一個(gè)動(dòng)詞,意為在Facebook等社交網(wǎng)站上與某人解除好友關(guān)系。

"It has both currency and potential longevity," said Christine Lindberg, senior lexicographer for Oxford's US dictionary program, in a statement.
牛津美語(yǔ)辭典項(xiàng)目的高級(jí)詞典編纂人克里斯汀?琳德伯格在一份聲明中說(shuō):“這個(gè)詞既符合當(dāng)下的潮流,也有一定的潛在壽命?!?/p>

"In the online social networking context, its meaning is understood, so its adoption as a modern verb form makes this an interesting choice for Word of the Year."
“在網(wǎng)絡(luò)社交環(huán)境中,這個(gè)詞的意思很容易理解,所以將其定義為現(xiàn)代動(dòng)詞形式,也是今年年度詞匯評(píng)選中一個(gè)很有意思的選擇?!?/p>
