In episode 6 of The Apprentice (UK Series Four), The team came up with the idea of a "National Singles' Day" to be held on February 13, and produced a range of cards intended as an alternative to Valentine's Day cards for single people. Alpha's first two pitches were relatively unsuccessful due to objections over the date, and so Michael chose to remove it from their final pitch, which was to the Celebrations Group. Celebrations ordered 19,500 cards, while Clinton Cards and Tesco ordered 1,500 each, for a total of 22,500 cards.
