《獨(dú)立日》是美國(guó)一部科幻片，于1996年7月3日上映（美國(guó)獨(dú)立日前一天），由羅蘭·艾默里奇執(zhí)導(dǎo)，威爾·史密斯、比爾·普爾曼和杰夫·高布倫等聯(lián)袂出演，影片講述了當(dāng)人們正準(zhǔn)備熱烈慶祝七月四日國(guó)慶日之時(shí)，一艘巨型的外星人母船進(jìn)入地球軌道，并釋放了三十多個(gè)小型飛船進(jìn)入地球大氣層，停留在世界幾大城市上空，使人們極度恐慌。最終，在總統(tǒng)的鼓舞和帶領(lǐng)下，人們共同阻止了外星人入侵，捍衛(wèi)了地球。
