The rumors further intensified when Ruby approached Wallace to cast in The Glamorous Imperial Concubine in 2011, which was her first project as a Producer. Ruby invested all her savings in the series. Her decision to cast Wallace as a leading actor confirmed their close budding relationship. Ruby also said that she had chemistry with Wallace, and they worked well together.
After reports circulated recently that Ruby Lin ?was dating Wallace Huo and even secretly living together for 4 years, fans were quick to pour their blessings upon the couple. Buzz of the romance started when an intimate hugging photograph of Ruby and Wallace was posted on Ruby’s Weibo. It sounds like a match made in “glamorous heaven,” but the romance of The Glamorous Imperial Concubine ?onscreen lovers from may be completely imaginary!
There were also reports that Ruby removed the photograph from Weibo after being teased by friends, Shu Qi (舒淇) and Cecilia Cheung’s(張柏芝) makeup artist and good friend, Rick Chin, who replied to Ruby’s hugging photograph, “Congratulations to the sweet little couple!”
When asked about the romance rumors, Ruby’s manager refuted, “Isn’t Wallace filming The Smiling, Proud Wanderer <笑傲江湖> in Hengdian? Ruby has always been working in Taipei. ?Don’t you find it contradictory that they were seen together?”
When asked what qualities her other half must have, Ruby replied, “Looks are important! He has to be handsome and cannot appear nerdy! He must have a stable career and be?financially stable. Preferably, he has to be at least 1.8 meters in height!” Her statement appears to fit the description of the dashing and hunky Wallace Huo!
The Bromance of Hu Ge and Wallace Huo Showcased in Snowy Bazaar Chinese Pictorial
This recent C-ent awards season was all about the bromance of Hu Ge and Wallace Huo. Thanks to both having spectacular C-drama successes in 2015, it was easy to fete each individually while enjoying their camaraderie during the awards show circuit. Hu Ge won various recognition for The Disguiser and Nirvana in Fire while Wallace had the dual successes of Journey of Flower and Love Me if You Dare. They’ve been good friends since Chinese Paladin 3 and now would be a good time to find a great starring vehicle for both to co-lead in interesting roles. Harper’s Bazaar China has them on the cover and inside pages in a fun snowy spread, equal parts playful and ruggedly broody.
