The building where Shawn worked went into automatic lock-down at twelve midnight, but the area could be accessed by employees with a high enough security clearance on their key card. As the team leader of a department, Shawn had a security clearance level which would grant him access to the facility twenty-four seven. Often, if the work was piling up or if there were pressing deadlines, Shawn would even stay the night in his office to minimize the commute time. As a result, he was familiar with the operation schedule of the building.
