The latest promo for the series says it all. “We’ve been given another case, Mulder,” Scully tells her partner. “It has a monster in it.”

What follows is a series of clips that look to include people with powers, a woman peeling her face off and creepy kids who can breathe underwater. While “The X-Files” is going to have some episodes dealing with the show’s alien mythology, there’s also going to be plenty of things that go bump in the night.
