話(huà)題:

Writing: imagine a scenario or express your opinion
Imprint
To imprint is to leave a mark behind. What is imprinted? How? Why is the imprint important?
This week's topic: They looked at the imprint... (90-110 words)

Suggestions:
1) a celebrity leaving a hand imprint at the hall of fame
2) after the rain, muddy foot prints are imprinted on the walkway
3) a printer leaving tiny imprints on the side of the page
4) imprints in rocks help scientists build a timeline for evolution
5) Instead of writing a scenario, feel free to comment on the story below.

范例1:

What he found interesting was that the light yellow tables were not completely solid. They were the shape of a life-saver, with a hole in the middle. The only difference was that instead of curves connecting the outer edge to the inner hole, the light yellow tables had flat surfaces. It was a shape Wolfe had not seen before. It also appeared that on the flat sides, some letters and numbers were imprinted. Two letters “LC” could be seen, followed by several numbers. From what Wolfe could see, all the tablets in the photos showed the same marking.
