The Chinese mainland has reported its second confirmed case of the A/H1-N1 flu. The patient is in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province. His symptoms appeared after he returned from Canada.

Health officials in Shandong say the patient is a 19-year-old man surnamed Lü.

He developed fever and other symptoms two days after arriving in Beijing on an Air Canada flight from Toronto last Friday.

On Monday evening, Lü took the train to Jinan. He reported to the Jinan Center for Disease Control and Prevention while on the train, and was later sent to the city's Infectious Disease Hospital for isolation and treatment.

Doctors say his temperature has fallen to normal and other basic vital signs are good.

Health authorities are looking for those who've been in close contact with Lü.

Ma Jiren, deputy director of Jinan Bureau of Health, said, "Passengers who traveled in the seventh carriage of Monday's train D-41 or people who know them, please report to health authorities as soon as possible. We'll make all efforts to ensure your health safety."

So far, 15 of the 44 people in the same carriage with Lü have contacted Jinan health authorities and are under medical observation.
