kitchen pass

n. Permission from one's spouse to attend an event or go on an outing.

kitchen pass，不要被字面意思騙了。并不是指你進廚房還要得到允許，而是指如果你要出去的話，得先得到在廚房里忙活的伴侶的同意。

不過這個短語和妻管嚴（hen-pecked husband）還是有區(qū)別的。妻管嚴還可以用：be tired to one's apron strings 來表達，被系到某人的圍裙上，可想而知受控制的程度啦。
