Production on the first season of "Constantine" will end after its initial 13-episode order, but the comic book adaptation could still have a future, NBC confirms to Zap2it. The series will continue to air in its Friday night time slot until the end of the season, with a second season renewal still a distinct possibility. Deadline was first to report the news.

While Season 1 now won't see the introduction of each of those characters from John's past, the creative team has a good start on a possible Season 2. It now seems like "Constantine" is being set to follow in "Hannibal's" 13-episodes-a-season path.
