Louis Szekely (born September 12, 1967), known professionally as Louis C.K. (/?lu?.i? si??ke?/), is a Mexican-American comedian, screenwriter, producer, film director, actor, voice actor, and film editor. He is the creator, star, writer, director, and—until February 2012—editor of the FX comedy series Louie. C.K. is noteworthy for innovating direct-to-fan purchases of reasonably priced tickets to his stand-up shows and DRM-free video concert downloads via his website. Over the course of his career, he has been nominated for 25 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for his stand up special, Oh My God, in 2013.
