——Christian天主教徒，天主教是基督宗教的三大派別之一，由于天主教的教條言明，教徒義務(wù)和約束較多，其發(fā)展受到一定阻礙，在美國(guó)，天主教教徒的數(shù)量要明顯少于基督新教（基督宗教的另一派別）。
——注意區(qū)分protestantism是基督新教，簡(jiǎn)稱新教，中國(guó)基督教信仰普遍上來說是基督新教；而基督宗教（即基督教的總稱）則是Christianity.天主教(又稱羅馬天主教)則是Catholicism。

——domestic things家務(wù)事， Rex 的話到此為止，婚姻顧問的話簡(jiǎn)明地解釋了Rex的一大段話的意思，他是在控訴他妻子use housework as a way to disengage emotionally 把家務(wù)活當(dāng)作釋放情緒的工具，即不需要其他的真情流露，家務(wù)活便成了掩飾感情的手段。
——Bree盯著那顆快要脫落的紐扣的時(shí)候，使得聽到的聲音都變得扭曲，很生動(dòng)的描述了Bree 的毛病，也許主婦們都不得不選擇像Bree一樣完美地掩飾寂寞的方法，有些人最終無法再掩飾沮喪，最終選擇自殺，但是很少有人能夠做得像Bree這樣完美，于是Bree變成了外人心中的旁樣，只有她的家人才知道她承受的壓力，可惜她對(duì)自己的家人也和對(duì)外人一樣保持著距離，這點(diǎn)讓她的家人厭倦。
