Earlier this year Disney released Frozen’s “Let It Go” as performed by their vocalists all around the world. Now you can watch these singers belt out the runaway hit in a just-released video.

As you can easily guess, “Let It Go” (and the other Frozen songs) were recorded in different languages for international versions of the film. In a video released by Yahoo! this week, for the first time we’re getting to see these singers – including Idina Menzel – perform the Oscar-winning song.

Rick Dempsey, an executive within Disney’s Character Voices International unit, spoke to Yahoo! about the challenges behind finding the right singers around the world. “It’s a difficult act to get the right intent of the lyrics and also have it match rhythmically to the music,” he said in an e-mailed statement. “And then you have to go back and adjust for lip sync! [It]… requires a lot of patience and precision.”

Ultimately it was Menzel’s vocals that laid the groundwork for everyone else’s translations. “Idina’s voice becomes our blueprint. We try to match it as close as possible,” he said.

Over the weekend Frozen became the highest-grossing animated film in box office history, edging out the previous record holder Toy Story 3. The new record came just days after the film was released on DVD and Blu-ray.?It sold 3.2 million copies in its first day on sale.
