hold up: 阻攔，耽擱了，這里是說因為感恩節(jié)的傳統(tǒng)，我的計劃就無法進行了。這個詞組比較常用的一個句子是Sorry I was late, I was held up at the meeting.（不好意思，我因為開會被耽擱了，所以遲到了）
insinuated: 含沙射影，暗示。這里Bart超強，連Eric的男朋友Jonathan劈腿的事情都查出來了。

get someone/something to myself: 專屬，獨享。這里對應(yīng)的是Aaron對Serena說自己現(xiàn)在是one woman man(我現(xiàn)在就你一個女朋友)，另外還可以說date exclusively，這些詞組都表示一對一的意思。to myself這個詞組在這集里還出現(xiàn)過一次，就是Blair打電話給Serena,"I'm so glad to have the house to myself."(我很高興家里就我一個人了)。
