Like the high-speed railway system, China seems to be a country that is always in a hurry. We built a 1,318km high-speed railway line within 3 years at the expense of $34 billion. And we also managed to build a sleek and modern hotel in a week, which hit the headline of medias from all over the world. However, do we really need such an astonishing speed to do everything? In my point of view, sometimes, it sounds ridiculous to push an engineering project in this speed, for it might jeopardise the safety as well as quality. Therefore, our government should realise that it is necessary to 'slow down' a little bit and must perform a delicate balancing act between the speed and quality.

The time to develop magnetic levitation technology for high-speed rail highly depends on the availability of transferred technology. In order to build the system domestically, completely from scratch, a lot of time and resources are needed.
