10月9日上午，國務院新聞辦公室發(fā)表《中國的司法改革》白皮書。這是中國政府首次就司法改革問題發(fā)布白皮書。

Apart from reviewing China's judicial system and reform process, the white paper focuses on maintaining social fairness, justice and human rights protection.
除了回顧中國的司法體系和改革進程之外，白皮書主要強調維護社會公平正義和保護人權。

White paper就是“白皮書”，是政府、議會等公開發(fā)表的有關政治、經濟、外交等重大問題的文件?！八痉ǜ母锇灼本褪莣hite paper on judicial reform。

司法改革白皮書包括維護社會公平正義（maintaining social fairness, justice）、優(yōu)化司法職權配置（optimizing the structure of the judicial organs and allocation of their functions and power）、加強人權保障（improving the protection of human rights）、提高司法能力（strengthening judicial organs' capability in maintaining social justice）等內容。
