News flash: Scarlett Johansson is engaged to her journalist beau!

The Oscar-nominated actress is planning to tie the knot with Romain Dauriac, People reported Wednesday, noting that the proposal occurred about a month ago, he offered up a vintage Art Deco ring and they are both "very happy."

Back in July, right around the time her rep said that she was "not engaged or close to being engaged," a source close to Johansson insisted that a diamond and ruby ring she was wearing was "simply a piece of jewelry."
