Posing for the new May issue of British Vogue, Beyonce? discusses how she feels about feminism and her role as a wife and mother.

When asked if she considers herself a feminist, she replied: 'That word can be very extreme... But I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I’m just a woman and I love being a woman.'

While Beyonce has achieved so many things many women haven't, she acknowledges the world still has a lot of room for improvement when it comes to equality.

She explained: 'I do believe in equality and that we have a way to go and it's something that's pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept.'

Since marrying Jay-Z in 2008 and becoming a first-time mother to daughter Blue in January 2012, Beyonce admits she feels like a different person.

She said: 'I feel like Mrs Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I've ever been.'

'It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, "OK, this is what you were born to do." The purpose of my body became completely different.'

She added: 'I definitely want my daughter to have goals and drive and passion - it has to be a balance.'

在接受《Vogue》的采訪時，碧昂絲說到，她認為女權主義者這一詞過于極端。她覺得自己應該是一名當代的女權主義者，相信男女平等。“為什么要選擇成為何種類型的女人？為什么要給自己貼上標簽？我只是一個女人，并且喜歡做一個女人”，碧昂絲補充說。當談到男女平等的問題時，她說，這個世界還有許多地方需要改進。她還承認道，自從結婚生子后，她就覺得自己像是變了一個人一樣，但她喜歡現(xiàn)在這樣的生活。她還希望女兒在日后可以成為一個有目標，有動力并對生活充滿熱情的人，但必須將這三者權衡好。
