《舞林爭霸》選手受傷退出 被淘汰選手復活
The TCA press tour in Los Angeles is most noted for giving more insight into the upcoming seasons of returning dramas, outlining the tone and feel of new shows, and delving into the minds of the executives who decide what TV viewers watch.
But sometimes a little reality-television news also seeps out. At Fox's So You Think You Can Dance panel this morning, producers dropped a bit of a bombshell for fans of the show: Contestant Jessica King, who advanced into the top 10 last Thursday, is now out of the competition.
According to multiple online reports, King suffered an injury--presumably to one of her dance-tastic appendages--sometime after last week's show and can no longer continue with the program. Her vacated space will be filled by Comfort Fedoke, who was momentarily ousted last week.
Producers are being cagey about the specifics of the injury, which of course only stokes the rumor fire.
"I've been instructed not to talk about the injury," said very British-ly named So You Think You Can Dance producer Nigel Lythgoe, according to The Los Angeles Times. "You have a law here that says I cannot discuss the injury."
