The rescue operation at the site of a landslide in southwest China’s Yunnan Province has finished after all 46 bodies were retrieved. Efforts are shifting to the burial of the victims, cleanup, and reconstruction work.

The landslide destroyed 14 homes in Zhaojiagou village on Friday, killing 46 and injuring 2. The disaster also caused a serious loss of communication facilities, livestock, and roads.

More than 1,100 people, including police, the fire brigade, and village residents were involved in the rescue work. The local government has arranged emergency funds of 11 million yuan for the affected areas.
