Seven children have been killed, and one injured in a fire that engulfed a home in Lankao county in central China’s Henan Province. Four children died at the scene of the fire, while another three died on their way to a local hospital.

The injured child is receiving treatment at the hospital. There is no immediate confirmation on how many children were in the house when the fire began. Rescue efforts continue and an investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
