3. 細(xì)節(jié)題
細(xì)節(jié)題是出現(xiàn)頻率相當(dāng)高的一種題型,詢問的可能是各種細(xì)節(jié)信息,如時間、地點、事件、原因等。一般的細(xì)節(jié)題都可在錄音原文里直接找到答案,考生只要細(xì)心聽就能解答。但有些題目里包含NOT,BUT,EXCEPT,INCORRECT等詞,需要考生排除掉三個正確信息,剩下的那個才是答案??忌谧鲞@類細(xì)節(jié)題時切忌浮躁,要斟酌四個選項后才能最后定奪。下面是2003年至2012年考題中的細(xì)節(jié)題。

剛才提到一般的細(xì)節(jié)題答案就出現(xiàn)在錄音材料原文里,只要仔細(xì)聽就不難找出。如2007年訪談的第3題詢問受采訪者建議游客避免大機場的原因。關(guān)于這一點,受采訪者提出如下理由:I’d say “Avoid big airports if you can”. The reason is there are too many fl ights
there. 很明顯,受采訪者認(rèn)為大機場的起落飛機太多,交通不順暢。所以選項B(Because?the volume of traffi c is heavy.)正確。又如2010年的第1題詢問Johnson認(rèn)為“diversity”一詞的意思。該訪談通篇都在談?wù)摗岸嘣边@個概念,但不同年代對這一概念的理解不同。

根據(jù)Johnson博士對這一概念的理解:You see today we use the word “diversity” to refer to?more visible ethnic differences.可知當(dāng)今社會“多元化”指更明顯的種族差別,因此選擇C。

但也有些細(xì)節(jié)題需要用排除法解答,找出符合錄音材料的選項,剩下的那個才是答案。如2009年訪談的第2題詢問哪一個選項不是加入Toastmasters俱樂部對實際工作的益處。關(guān)于加入該俱樂部的益處,受采訪者提到:By becoming involved in Toastmasters, you’ll learn?different methods of communicating what you really want to say, and equally important, you’ll?learn what your audience expects from you, so you can deliver that message to them in a logical?fashion. 這段內(nèi)容涵蓋了A,B和C三個選項,因此答案是D。
