一、比較級(jí) than 不定代詞（any／other／the other）

1．比較級(jí) than the

others（or：any other 名詞復(fù)數(shù)）

English is more widely used than the others．英語(yǔ)比其他（語(yǔ)言）使用得更廣泛。

Li Lei ran much faster than the other boys．李磊比其他男生跑得快得多。

2．比較級(jí) than any

others（or：any other 名詞單數(shù)）

The new reporter does everything more carefully than any others．那個(gè)新來(lái)的記者無(wú)論做什么都比別的記者仔細(xì)。

I think Chinese is more popular than any other subject．我認(rèn)為漢語(yǔ)比任何別的科目更受歡迎。

3．比較級(jí) than anybody（anything）else

He thought the Prime Minister a wise, honest man who was fitter for his office than anyone else．他認(rèn)為丞相是個(gè)聰明、誠(chéng)實(shí)的人，他比任何人都稱(chēng)職。

二、少數(shù)幾個(gè)表示極限方位處所的名詞（兼作形容詞）

1．top n．頂點(diǎn)、頂端 adj．頭等的、最高的

If we won this match，we would be top！如果我們贏了這場(chǎng)比賽，我們將是冠軍。

She chose a top horse and took a ride around the hill．她選了一匹頭等的馬，然后騎上馬繞小山兜了一圈。

2．bottom n．底，盡頭 adj．最底部的、最后的

1．a(chǎn)head of 復(fù)數(shù)名詞

He runs ahead of all the other boys．他跑在所有別的男孩的前頭。

2．than（連詞） 復(fù)數(shù)名詞

She draws better than we all．她畫(huà)得比我們大家都好。

3．before 復(fù)數(shù)名詞
