In a perfect world, all our favorite shows would last forever. We’d happily spend the next 20 years watching Castle and Beckett grow old and grey and nerdy together. No lie!

But in real life? All good shows must come to an end. Hit crime dramedies (sadly) included.

On the bright side, many a dramedy has withstood the test of time. Grey’s Anatomy and Bones both debuted on small screens in 2005 and are still searing through viewers' tender hearts season after season. NCIS and its various spin-offs has been frontrunners on the scene since 2003.

Castle — which didn’t crop up until 2009 — is actually the baby of the bunch.

And while we may often worry about the show’s fate, Castle execs seem confident in the staying power of their witty little crime procedural. Despite its late-in-the-game renewal, Castle creator Andrew Marlowe told Wetpaint Entertainment in May, “Hopefully we’ll continue to deliver really great TV. And I think we’re putting ourselves in a great position to do that.”

We must agree with Andrew on at least one count: Caskett’s saucy end-of-season hookup certainly guarantees us a successful (and sweaty) Season 5!

But what about after that? Alexis's college conquests, the ups and downs of Caskett’s burgeoning relationship, Lanie and Esposito’s hot (and heated) tension — how long can it all last?

我們常常為該劇的命運(yùn)擔(dān)心，不過《靈書妙探》的幕后團(tuán)隊(duì)似乎對這部風(fēng)趣幽默，短小精悍的探案劇滿懷信心。盡管較晚獲得續(xù)訂，但《靈書妙探》的主創(chuàng)安德魯· 馬洛（Andrew Marlowe）在5月時告訴Wetpaint Entertainment網(wǎng)站，“我們希望能夠讓這部非常精彩的劇集繼續(xù)下去。并且我認(rèn)為我們現(xiàn)在正處在最好的狀態(tài)。”

起碼在一點(diǎn)上我們和安德魯?shù)目捶ㄒ恢拢嚎ㄈ麪柵c貝克特在第四季戀情圓滿的美好結(jié)局令我們確信這部劇會迎來一個給力的第五季！

但在此之后呢？阿麗克西斯 （Alexis）收到了大學(xué)錄取通知書，卡塞爾與貝克特進(jìn)展迅速的感情經(jīng)歷了很多起起伏伏，以及蕾妮（Lanie）與埃斯波西托（Esposito）之間的曖昧情愫這樣的劇情還能吸引觀眾多久？
