Authorities in Texas say a 30-year-old woman admitted to shooting a young mother, then abducting her newborn son in a town near Houston. Verna McClain is facing capital murder charges.

A retired couple from southern Illinois is claiming the third and final share of last month's $656 million dollar Mega Millions jackpot. The couple will take a lump sum of $111 million after taxes.

Pat Summitt is stepping aside as coach of the Tennessee's women's basketball team. The 59-year-old is the sport's winningest coach. This comes after Summitt went public with health concerns.
