你是我的媽媽嗎

A mother bird sat on her egg.
一只鳥媽媽正孵著她的蛋寶寶。

The egg jumped.
蛋寶寶突然動了一下。
"Oh oh!" said the mother bird. "My baby will be here! He will want to eat."
“噢！”鳥媽媽驚呼道，“我的寶寶就要出來了！等它出來之后，一定會想吃點什么的?！?/div>

"I must get something for my baby bird to eat!" she said. "I will be back!"
“我得弄些吃的給我的寶寶！”鳥媽媽看著蛋寶寶說，“我一會就回來！”
So away she went.
然后，她揮著翅膀飛走了。

The egg jumped. It jumped, and jumped, and jumped!
蛋寶寶不停地跳啊跳。
Out came the baby bird!
突然，蛋殼碎了，一只小鳥冒了出來。

Where is my mother?" he said.
“我的媽媽在哪呢？”他說。
He looed for her.
說著，他尋找起了媽媽。

He looked up. He did not see her.
上面，沒有媽媽。
He looked down. He did not see her.
下面，也沒有媽媽。

"I will go and look for her," he said.
“我要自己去找媽媽?！毙▲B這樣說道。
So away he went.
他大大咧咧地向前邁出了一步。

Down, out of the tree he went.
咻咻咻！！他感到自己正在快速的往下落。
Down, down, down! It was a long way down.
嘭的一聲，他一屁股坐在了地上。

The baby bird could not fly.
這只小鳥還不會飛呢。
He could not fly, but he could walk. "Now I will go and find my mother," he said.
雖然他還不會飛，但他會走路?！艾F(xiàn)在我就去找我的媽媽?！毙▲B興致勃勃地踏上了找媽媽的旅途。

He did not know what his mother looked like. He went right by her. He did not see her.
然而，他并不知道自己的媽媽長什么樣。一座小山讓他們擦肩而過，他沒有看見山背面的媽媽。

He came to a kitten. "Are you my mother?" he said to the kitten.
他走啊走，看到了一只貓咪。他激動地喊道，“你是我的媽媽嗎？”
The kitten just looked and looked. It did not say a thing.
然而，貓咪只是看著他，沒有說任何東西。

The kitten was not his mother, so he went on.
看來貓咪不是他的媽媽了，他繼續(xù)向前走著。
Then he came to a hen. "Are you my mother?" he said to the hen.
走啊走，他遇見了一只母雞。他又激動地喊道，“你是我的媽媽嗎？”
"No," said the hen.“
不，我不是你的媽媽。”母雞回答他。

The kitten was not his mother. The hen was not his mother. So the baby bird went on.
貓咪不是他的媽媽，母雞也不是他的媽媽。小鳥繼續(xù)往前走。
"I have to find my mother!" he said. "But where? Where is she? Where could she be?"
“我一定要找到我的媽媽！”小鳥說，“但是，媽媽在哪呢？她會去哪呢？”

The he came to a dog. "Are you my mother?" he said to the dog.
小鳥又碰到了一條大狗。“你是我的媽媽嗎？”小鳥問大狗。
"I am not your mother. I am a dog," said the dog.
“我不是你的媽媽，我是一條狗呀?！贝蠊氛f。

The kitten was not his mother.?The hen was not his mother.?The dog was not his mother.
貓咪不是他的媽媽。母雞不是他的媽媽。大狗也不是他的媽媽。
So the baby bird went on. Now he came to a cow.
小鳥不放棄，繼續(xù)往前走。這次，他遇上了一頭奶牛。

"Are you my mother?" he said to the cow.
“你是我的媽媽嗎？”他問。
"How could I be your mother?" said the cow. "I am a cow."
“我怎么會是你的媽媽呀？”奶牛搖搖頭，“我是一頭奶牛呀。”

The kitten and the hen were not his mother.?The dog and the cow were not his mother.
貓咪和母雞不是他的媽媽。大狗和奶牛也不是他的媽媽。
Did he have a mother?
他到底有沒有媽媽呢？

"I did have a mother," said the baby bird. "I know I did. I have to find her. I will. I WILL!"
“我一定有媽媽的，”小鳥堅定地說道，“我知道我一定有的！我一定會找到她！一定！一定！”

Now the baby bird did not walk. He ran! Then he saw a car. Could that old thing be his mother??No, it could not.
這次小鳥沒有再向前走了。他跑了起來！跑著跑著，他看到了一輛車子。這輛破破的車子會是他的媽媽嗎？不，肯定不是。
The baby bird did not stop. He ran on and on.
小鳥沒有停下，繼續(xù)跑啊跑。

Now he looked way, way down. He saw a boat. "There she is!" said the baby bird.
他往下看，看到下面的小河上有一輛小船。“她一定在那里！”小鳥叫著。
He called to the boat, but the boat did not stop. The boat went on.
于是，他對著小船大聲地喊叫，但是小船沒有停下來，漸漸駛遠了。

He looked way, way up. He saw a big plane. "Here I am, Mother," he called out.
這次，他又往上看。他看到一架飛機。他又喊道，“我在這里，媽媽！”
But the plane did not stop. The plane went on.
然而，飛機也沒有停下來，漸漸飛走了。

Just then, the baby bird saw a big thing. This must be his mother!
正在這時，小鳥看到了一個大大的東西。那一定是他的媽媽！
"There she is!" he said. "There is my mother!"
“她在那！”小鳥喊道，“那就是我的媽媽！”

He ran right up to it. "Mother, Mother! Here I am, Mother!" he said to the big thing.
他沖著那個大大的東西飛奔禮物過去。“媽媽，媽媽！我在這里啊，媽媽！”他叫道。

But the big thing just said, "Snort."
但是，那個大大的東西只是發(fā)出“呼！呼！”的聲音。
"Oh, you are not my mother," said the baby bird. "You are a snort. I have to get out of here!"
“噢，你不是我的媽媽?！毙▲B驚叫道，“你就是個“呼呼”。我要離開這里！”

But the baby bird could not get away. The Snort went up.
可小鳥這次卻走不了了?！昂艉簟眲恿似饋?，一點點地往上升。
It went way, way up. And up, up, up went the baby bird.
一點一點越來越高。

But now, where was the Snort going?
天哪！“呼呼”這是要去哪里呢？
"Oh, oh, oh! What is this Snort going to do to me? Get me out of here!"
“噢噢噢?。。∧氵@是要干嘛？快放我下來！”小鳥害怕極了。

Just then, the Snort came to a stop.
正在這時，“呼呼”停了下來。

"Where am I?" said the baby bird. "I want to go home! I want my mother!"
“我這是在哪里呀？”小鳥急哭了，“我要回家！我要我的媽媽！”

Then something happened.
然而，神奇的事情發(fā)生了。
The Snort put that baby bird right back in the tree. The baby bird was home!
“呼呼”把小鳥放回了樹上。小鳥回家了！

Just then the mother bird came back to the tree.
正在這時，鳥媽媽回來了。
"Do you know who I am?" she said to her baby.
“你知道我是誰嗎？”鳥媽媽溫柔地對她的寶寶說。

"Yes, I know who you are," said the baby bird.
“我知道我知道！”小鳥說道。?
"You are not a kitten.
“你不是貓咪。
"You are not a hen.
不是母雞。
"You are not a dog.
不是大狗。
"You are not a cow.
也不是奶牛。
"You are not a boat, or a plane, or a Snort!"
更加不會是小船、飛機或者‘呼呼’！”
"You are a bird, and you are my mother."
“你一只鳥，你是我的媽媽。”
