兩類結(jié)構(gòu)能互換的場合主要限于那些有意志的動詞,而對于那些無意志的動詞(如那些表示感覺或心理活動的動詞以及主語是無生命的東西時(),通常用不定式,很少用動名詞。如:The ice began to melt. 冰開始融化。I began to understand this situation. 我開始了解情況。另外若 begin 本身為 -ing 形式,其后通常也接不定式。如:I’m beginning to feel better, thank you. 我漸漸感到好些了,謝謝你。不過,若主語是指天氣的 it, 其后可接不定式或動名詞。如:It began raining [to rain]. 開始下雨了。3. begin with sth [by doing sth] 以做某事開始。如:Knowledge begins with practice. 知識始于實(shí)踐。He began by telling us a story. 他先給我講了個故事。注:有時 begin 后可以有賓語。如:He began his talk with an apology. 他開始講話時先作了一番道歉。4. to begin withAMILY: 'Times New Roman'">4 首先,在開始。如:We can’t go.
