Mr. McGregor was quite sure that Peter was somewhere in the tool-shed, perhaps hidden underneath a flower-pot. He began to turn them over carefully, looking under each.Presently Peter sneezed—'Kertyschoo!' Mr. McGregor was after him in no time.
麥戈雷格先生認(rèn)定彼得一定就藏在工具棚里，只是不知道在哪個(gè)地方而已。也許他會躲到花盆里面，于是他開始小心翼翼地把花盆一個(gè)個(gè)翻開，湊近他的腦袋往花盆里上上下下地仔細(xì)查看。 可就在這時(shí)，彼得打了個(gè)噴嚏，“阿······嚏！”，不巧得很，麥戈雷格先生就在他的身后。

Peter sat down to rest; he was out of breath and trembling with fright, and he had not the least idea which way to go. Also he was very damp with sitting in that can.After a time he began to wander about, going lippity—lippity—not very fast, and looking all round.
彼得終于能坐下來休息一會兒了，他跑得上氣不接下氣。由于害怕，渾身還一直在發(fā)抖，可現(xiàn)在的他根本不知道怎樣才能找到出去的路。剛才躲在那個(gè)裝有很多水的鐵罐里，讓他全身都濕透了。休息了一會兒，他開始起來察看情況，十分謹(jǐn)慎地一邊走一邊看，希望能盡快找到出去的路。
