Strawberry Fields have come to Beijing. Producers, scientists, and consumers are taking part in an international symposium in Changping District.

The 5-day event, held every four years, is known as the Olympics of the strawberry community. Beijing has the honor of being the first Asian host city. He Beibei went to the expo garden and found it a fruitful experience.

Juan Cano, president of Eurosemillas, said, "I'm really impressed by this symposium held in China. None of the 6 symposiums that I have participated in had the same level. You could be very proud of that it's the best one ever."

There are also various activities for visitors to enjoy.

For instance, a trip around the strawberry world at the five-part Artistic Exhibition.

Growers from more than 60 countries and regions exhibit their cultivation modes and varieties.

A visitor said, "I never imagined there are so many kinds of strawberries in China and all over the world. And the varieties here are very different from the ones in the market."

The theme of the symposium is Green, Freshness, Health and Development. Organizers say these are not just goals for the industry, but for the city and the people. The Expo Garden will be open to visitors until June the 30th.
