The population of Mystic Falls is constantly in flux, with new arrivals moving to America’s deadliest town and others leaving, either in coffins or to go sketch pretty pictures in the mountains. Can you tell we’ve been missing Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) on The Vampire Diaries? Lucky for us, E! spoke with executive producer Julie Plec, who promised, “We will see Jeremy before the season's over,” though she wouldn’t say anything more.

Another lonely wanderer who will find his way back is Tyler (Michael Trevino). Sometime this spring, Tyler will return, and he’ll definitely notice the sparks between Caroline (Candice Accola) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan). “There's nothing worse than going away, putting yourself through endless and eternal agony to break a bond to some guy when you come back to town you realize he's been putting the moves on your girl,” says Plec. Well, that just makes Klaus sound so sinister!

Speaking of dudes who need to get a love life, Alaric (Matt Davis) may not have to bust out his mourning suit anytime soon. Although Torrey DeVitto recently said she thought Meredith’s death is “inevitable,” Plec is considering bringing her on full-time. Of course, there’s more than one way to get rid of a girlfriend — E! hints we’ll definitely understand why Meredith’s ex called her crazy.
