Zack: Wow, that accident was really bad.
Grant: Yeah. the drivers of all four cars went to the hospital.
Zack: The guy on the motorcycle did, too. He almost died!
Pete: People drive too fast in San Diego, especially on Broadway Street.
Zack: One of the drivers was drunk, so he drove too fast.
Grant: Yes. And look what happened to a lot of innocent people!

Conversation B
Pete: We can talk about that accident on the show.
Zack: Yes. And we can tell people to be careful drivers.
Pete: Good idea. There were serious injuries in that accident.
Grant: And car accidents can happen to anyone.
Zack: Who was in the accident?
Grant: The police aren't saying.
Zack: The names will probably be in the paper tomorrow.

Conversation C
Grant: (watching TV) Here's an update on that accident.
Zack: Wow, the cars are really smashed up.
Pete: So is the motorcycle.
Grant: Hey, doesn't Nate have a black motorcycle like that?
Zack: Yes. But a lot of people do.
Pete: Well, I hope it's not Nate's.
Grant: Me, too. Accidents are awful. Nate isn't very nice. But i wouldn't want him to have an accident.
