Britney Spears’ guest appearances on “How I Met Your Mother,” “Will & Grace” and “Glee” have all been well-received by critics, so it’s no wonder everyone’s excited about the prospect of Britney making a guest appearance another hit comedy: “Modern Family. ”

It all started Tuesday when Britney tweeted, “I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can’t wait to see the next episode of Modern Family! Funniest show on TV.”

After ‘Modern Family’ star Sofia Vergara retweeted Brit’s post, her manager chimed in, asking fans: “@BritneySpears on Modern Family? What do you guys think?”

Britney then said, “Ahhh I would love to be on it!” prompting fans to make #GetBritneyonModernFamily a trending topic.

So far, there’s been no official word from either ABC, which airs “Modern Family,” or Britney’s camp, as to whether this is something that they’ll actually try to make happen.

Meanwhile, Britney’s upcoming wedding to fiance Jason Trawick actually has no announced date, but her ex-husband, of all people, may have dropped a hint as to when it’s taking place.

Kevin Federline is currently in Australia shooting a reality series called “Excess Baggage,” the Australian equivalent of “Celebrity Fit Club.” He tells the newspaper The West Australian that he’s going to miss Britney’s wedding because the show shoots through late April. This would seem to indicate that Britney is going to tie the knot sometime between now and April 30.
