One day to go until the Florida Republican presidential primary. Florida is the biggest state to vote so far. Polls show Mitt Romney with a lead over Newt Gingrich.

The Obama administration is preparing for new talks with Iraq. The top aide Defense Secretary Leon Panetta says the goal would define a long-term defense relationship expanded U.S. training could be on the table. Iraq has been struggling with internal violence since U.S. troops left last month.

The Obama Administration is proposing new rules today to let military family members take off time from work to care for injured service members. That proposal would also allow for leave from work when family members are called to active duty.

And Syria claims that a terrorist group blew up a gas pipeline. The explosions happened close to the border with Lebanon. Several another pipeline attacks have been reported during the uprising in Syria. It’s unclear who’s behind them.
