B: That’s because he bought a dog, a Golden Retriever called Jilly. She keeps him on his toes.

【語言點精講】

infirm: 通常指因年老而體弱的，虛弱的。
retriever: 經(jīng)訓(xùn)練會銜回獵物的狗。
on one's toe: 有活力的。
paralysed: 出于害怕等而不能移動的；無力活動的；癱瘓的。
dreamboat: 萬人迷，極吸引人的人。
shy: 害羞。
courage: 勇氣。
