Part B: Listening Comprehension

Directions: In this part of the test there will be some short talks and conversations. After each one, you will be asked some questions. The talks, conversations and questions will be spoken only once. 本段兩人主要討論的是當(dāng)前媒體新聞娛樂化的現(xiàn)象。新聞內(nèi)容更偏重 Entertaining, 例如如何減肥 lose weight ，名人八卦 celebrity 等，但對時事、政治等新聞卻報道不足，甚至以將時政新聞報道娛樂化，要求： "instant gratification", gratification 這個詞略有難度，但這種關(guān)鍵詞在考試中說話人必然馬上會跟一句解釋" something doesn't require you to think", 即無需動腦，與文中反復(fù)出現(xiàn)的 quick, shllaow, easy 等一切與文化快餐特點相關(guān)的詞符合。于是，新聞內(nèi)容變得 Easy ， Quick and shallow.? 而報紙在內(nèi)容深度上要比電視要好（ more in depth ） . 但報道內(nèi)容受篇幅限制。雖然現(xiàn)在網(wǎng)絡(luò)和廣播可以提供相對專門化和有針對性的信息，但女士接受新聞的主要方式還是通過電視這種大眾媒介。
