In July 1944, a clique of German officers plotted to kill Adolf Hitler and stage a daring coup. Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg left a briefcase concealing a time bomb at Hitler's feet during a military conference. The bomb killed 4 people, but an oak table [-----1-----] Hitler. In Berlin, [-----2-----] led by Colonel Von Keirnheim took over army headquarters, believing Hitler was dead. By midnight, they and von Stauffenberg had been shot. [-----3(句子)-----].
