Fans will pay a last tribute to Chen Xiaoxu in Shenzhen on Friday. A memorial meeting for the former actress Chen Xiaoxu, who starred in the famous TV series "A Dream of Red Mansions", is to be held in Shenzhen funeral home.

An announcement was released on Thursday by the newly established charity, which was founded by Chen Xiaoxu.

The announcement stated that Chen Xiaoxu died of breast cancer at 6 pm on May 13 in 2007. In accordance with her last testament, Chen Xiaoxu donated 50 million Yuan to establish a charity fund on the day of her death that would be named after her. The fund will support charity activities like education and medical care, as well as poverty-stricken students.

The former actress and business celebrity took the tonsure at a Buddhist temple in Changchun, capital of Jilin province in northeast China in February.

According to media reports, Chen's decision to take the tonsure came after she turned to the temple when she was diagnosed with terminal breast carcinoma.

陳曉旭慈善基金會(籌備)發(fā)布消息：5月13日18時57分，陳曉旭女士(妙真法師)因患乳腺癌在深圳去世。遵照陳曉旭遺愿，16日創(chuàng)立陳曉旭慈善基金會(籌備)，始創(chuàng)基金為5000萬元人民幣。

陳曉旭的姨媽王元鳳17日也在電話中向記者證實，5月13日，陳曉旭在深圳一個道場因病去世，臨終前，陳曉旭的父母、妹妹、表妹等親屬都陪伴在身邊。 　　

王元鳳介紹說，早在2006年3月，陳曉旭就感覺身體不適，在北京陳曉旭家中，王元鳳還多次看到陳曉旭不經(jīng)意間總是托著右胸，家人勸她看醫(yī)生，可她總不當回事。實在逼急了，她才抓些中藥回來吃。病情不見好轉(zhuǎn)，她就以為中醫(yī)效果慢，就這樣一直拖著。 　　

“生活中的曉旭是一個很固執(zhí)很有個性的人，很多事如果她不認可，別人的意見她很難接受?！蓖踉P說，后來實在疼得不行了，進醫(yī)院檢查才知道得的是乳腺癌。雖然知道病情嚴重，但她對西醫(yī)療法還是很排斥，堅持回家吃中藥。 　　

2006年10月，陳曉旭開始在長春的百國興隆寺閉關(guān)修行。2007年3月，她轉(zhuǎn)到深圳某封閉的道場繼續(xù)修行。到4月末時，她已經(jīng)起不來床了，整個人瘦得皮包骨頭，只剩下70來斤。 　　

在陳曉旭重病期間，家人還在勸其就醫(yī)，甚至把醫(yī)生從北京請到了深圳?？墒巧砸晦D(zhuǎn)念的陳曉旭在看到醫(yī)生后，又堅決拒絕就醫(yī)，直到5月13日走完年僅42歲的一生。 　　

陳曉旭1965年10月生于遼寧省鞍山市，自幼聰明好學，14歲開始發(fā)表詩歌。1985年陳曉旭飾演電視連續(xù)劇《紅樓夢》中的林黛玉，深得廣大觀眾喜愛。1991年陳曉旭投身廣告業(yè)，加盟長城國際廣告有限公司。1996年創(chuàng)辦北京世邦廣告有限公司。 　　

陳曉旭長期研修佛法，潛心修行多年。今年2月，陳曉旭在吉林省長春市的百國興隆寺剃度，皈依佛門，法號妙真，立志弘揚佛法，表示要“做一名多元文化的義務(wù)教育工作者”。 　　

據(jù)陳曉旭慈善基金會(籌備)介紹，基金會基金將全部用于教育和醫(yī)療等公益事業(yè)，資助因貧困而失學的學生和無力醫(yī)治疾患的困難群眾。 　　

據(jù)悉，陳曉旭遺體告別儀式將于18日在深圳市殯儀館舉行
