英國首相大衛(wèi)?卡梅倫中國農(nóng)歷春節(jié)致辭


I want to send my best wishes to people in China, the United Kingdom and around the world who are celebrating the Chinese New Year. This is not just a time for a great celebration, with firecrackers and fireworks, lion dances and great food. It's a time for friends and family, for new beginnings and old wisdom, for hope and optimism. That is especially true this year as we entered the Year of Rabbit, a year traditionally associated with home, family and peace.


我想對在中國、英國以及全世界正要?dú)g度中國農(nóng)歷春節(jié)的人們致以我最美好的祝福。這一個(gè)時(shí)刻，不僅僅只是歡樂慶祝，鞭炮煙花齊放，獅舞狂歡和美酒佳肴，這更是一個(gè)親朋好友齊聚的時(shí)刻，承繼古老智慧并且展望新的開端，是希望和夢想的時(shí)刻。在我們進(jìn)入兔年春節(jié)之際，這一在傳統(tǒng)上，意味著家庭團(tuán)聚以及睦鄰祥和節(jié)日。


In many ways the year ahead will be a difficult one as the world takes the hard and necessary steps to assure economic stability and prosperity. But I'm sure of this: we'll get through stronger and richer if we work together. That's why when I visited Beijing last year, with the largest ever delegation of UK Cabinet Ministers, I called for the UK and China to be "Partners in Growth" with more investment and economic co-operation between our two countries.


從很多方面來說，我們即將迎來的這一年是困難重重的，因?yàn)檎麄€(gè)世界還需要邁出有力而必要的步伐，確保經(jīng)濟(jì)穩(wěn)定和繁榮，但是我可以肯定的是，只要我們一起努力，我們將會克服困難，變得更為強(qiáng)盛和繁榮，這是為什么在我去年帶領(lǐng)史上規(guī)模最大的，英國內(nèi)閣部長代表團(tuán)訪問北京時(shí)，我把英國和中國的關(guān)系，成為“共同增長的伙伴關(guān)系”，我們兩國間將會有更多的經(jīng)貿(mào)投資和合作。


And I'm delighted to say that is already happening with new deals being signed, new jobs being created and a new ambitious target of a hundred billion dollars worth of trade between China and the United Kingdom by 2015. And that's why back home, I pay tribute to the Chinese community in Britain and the enormous contribution that they make to our country. The successful stories are everywhere, in science, research, the health services, in catering industries, and the values they live by: the hard work, enterprise and community. They are the values we need if we are to creat a stronger economy and a strong society.


而我可以很高興地說這一切已在進(jìn)行中，隨著新協(xié)議的簽定，隨之產(chǎn)生的新的就業(yè)機(jī)會，以及英中之間達(dá)成的雄心勃勃的目標(biāo)，要在2015年將貿(mào)易額擴(kuò)大到1000億美元，這也是為什么我結(jié)束了訪華之行回國之后，對英國的華人社區(qū)以及他們?yōu)槲覀儑遥龀龅木薮筘暙I(xiàn)更加充滿了敬意，他們成功的領(lǐng)域無處不在，科學(xué)、研究、醫(yī)療、衛(wèi)生服務(wù)、餐飲行業(yè)等等，并且他們所信奉的價(jià)值觀，刻苦工作，企業(yè)精神和社區(qū)融合，是我們創(chuàng)建強(qiáng)大的經(jīng)濟(jì)實(shí)力，以及強(qiáng)大的社會所必須的價(jià)值理念。
