DON GONYEA, host: Today's last word in business is drive-through(顧客無(wú)須下車即可得到服務(wù)的“免下車”餐館,這里形容快餐店) oatmeal.

The humble breakfast porridge has, in recent years, become a common item on the menu on coffee chains and fast food restaurants. It's seen by customers as healthy and cheap. It is also profitable for companies to sell. So now even McDonald's is rolling out the rolled oats(燕麥片). According to the Chicago Tribune, the fast food chain plans to add oatmeal to its breakfast menu by the end of this week. McDonald's will sweeten its oatmeal a bit with apples, raisins, cranberries and cream.

(Soundbite of laughter)

STEVE INSKEEP, host: Cream? What about cheese?

GONYEA: Jimmies(灑在甜食上做裝飾用的小顆粒狀糖條).

(Soundbite of laughter)

INSKEEP: Jimmies.

GONYEA: Fruit Loops.

INSKEEP: Or gravy(肉汁,肉湯). Gravy. If there's some gravy on the oatmeal, I'm right there for a healthy meal, I think.

GONYEA: So that's the business news on MORNING EDITION, from NPR News. I'm Don Gonyea.

INSKEEP: And Steve Inskeep.
