Brian Mitchell could face life in prison when he's sentenced in May for the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart in 2002. Smart was 14 at the time. A federal jury in Salt Lake City convicted the street preacher on kidnapping and other charges.

Six people are injured after a tractor-trailer careened onto a New York City sidewalk, pinning a minivan between a bus and a store front. Five people were taken to hospitals. None of the injuries is believed to be life-threatening.

Demonstrators down under are taking to the streets. They are protesting the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Assange is an Australian citizen. His mother is criticizing the Australian government over how they handled this case.

And the museum Madame Tussauds has given Lady Gaga the wax treatment. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is in Los Angeles to unveil one of eight -- yes, eight -- wax Lady Gaga figures around the world.
